Predacast 430 Striker – Built to Last
The Predacast 430 Striker was born out of practical necessity. I have spent decades working as a fishing guide and rental boat entrepreneur, alongside a long career in the marine industry. In my work, I noticed that standard boats, often made from thinner materials to save costs, simply do not withstand years of heavy use and constant trailering.
When my company’s previous fleet began reaching the end of its lifespan prematurely, it was time to find something more durable. After extensive searching and attending international boat shows, I realized that a solution meeting my strict criteria did not exist domestically or abroad. Thus, I decided to design and build it myself, in collaboration with Finnish professionals in boat modeling and manufacturing.

Predacast is designed to be a functional and so-called “bombproof” fisherman’s tool, built to endure rough handling.

The hull is welded from exceptionally thick 4 mm marine-grade aluminum, and we have consciously eliminated all “weak links”. No wood, textiles, or fragile plastic components are used in the structures. It is meant to be an honest, durable platform that is easy to keep clean and always ready for the next trip.
At 1.9 meters wide, the boat is among the widest in its class, making it exceptionally stable. This ensures a calm and safe environment even when multiple anglers are moving around the boat simultaneously. This stability is further enhanced by the innovatively positioned steering console. By placing it 30 cm from the side, the center of gravity is optimally shifted closer to the boat’s centerline.
Designed by the demands of modern fishing.
The boat’s ergonomic and technical solutions are engineered to meet the demands of the rapidly growing live sonar fishing scene. The console accommodates a 16″ screen with additional space for two 12″ screens placed alongside, all without the need for cumbersome mounts or compromises regarding your casting arc or field of vision. Furthermore, the bow deck features a recessed 12″ display mount, with ample space remaining for an additional 16″ screen above it.

In my opinion, a fishing boat should always come standard with a generously sized recirculating livewell, so it was a given in the design process. Its compact size allows for easy trailering and maneuverability, even from natural, unimproved boat ramps.
The rod box is a feature that divides opinions. It takes up valuable floor space but is often necessary for storing spare rods. Therefore, we decided to offer the rod box as an optional accessory for the Predacast.
